I’ve always had a passion for sport and as a young girl I enjoyed both team and solo events. I played football for AFC Bournemouth and was invited to trial for England at a young age. For a number of years, I played volleyball for the South West ladies team and am now playing cricket for Lymington ladies which I thoroughly enjoy.

After the birth of my second child I took up running and enjoyed seeing the gains of training and taking my gentle trots up to a comfortable 2-3km before building up to half marathons and eventually completing my first marathon 2 years after taking it up. I’ve gone on to complete 6 marathons including Le Mont St Michel, Jersey, Bournemouth, London and my PB stands at 3:39hrs in Southampton.

I’ve since gone on to complete over 15 ultra marathons including the OCC twice in Chamonix as part of the UTMB and the 10 Peaks challenge in the Brecon Beacons.

I took up triathlon in 2014 and completed my first full distance in 2016 at Hever Castle where I completed the 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile cycle and 26.2 mile run taking second place in the ladies.

I swiftly sold my bike after this!

I now enjoy long rides often with a coffee stop and I don’t object to a slice of cake mid ride too.

I’ve completed many swim challenges including the Pier to Pier from Bournemouth to Boscombe a 5km night swim and last year completed a 10km swim challenge along the river Dart.

I love the whole journey of races from the training sessions, improvements and gains, race day and of course the post race curry (my favourite.)

I have 2 children aged 9 & 13 and they take part in park run and other events. My husband is a great runner and where possible we involve the kids in our training sessions together too. Our mantra is simply to take part and enjoy.

Downtime, I love to socialise with friends and a bottle of Malbec
